Re:Build AppliedLogix, a division of Re:Build Manufacturing based in Rochester, NY, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the business. Re:Build's mission is to revitalize America's manufacturing base by operating an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform serving critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical devices, energy, and robotics.
AppliedLogix provides embedded systems design services and product commercialization expertise to OEMs across industrial automation, telecom, aerospace and defense, medical devices, energy, transportation, and agriculture. The team of 70+ engineers delivers custom analog and high-speed digital electronics, embedded software and firmware, full-stack application development, mechanical systems, tooling design, and rapid prototyping.
As General Manager, you will own the full P&L and lead all functions including program management, engineering, sales and marketing, finance, HR, and support operations. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for driving organizational growth, process discipline, talent development, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
- General management oversight of the AppliedLogix business across all functions
- P&L ownership with accountability for sales, income, and cash-flow targets
- Development of budgets, financial plans, capacity planning, and performance metrics
- Driving operational performance across the proposal-to-delivery flow
- Leadership of the senior engineering team in distributed settings
- Facilitating collaboration across Re:Build's engineering and manufacturing companies
- Expanding customer base and deepening engineering capabilities
- Maturing operating methods and processes in a rapidly growing business
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in embedded systems-based product development, proven ability to lead large engineering teams, significant P&L leadership experience, strong business acumen, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and leveraging AI tools for team effectiveness.
