Fireblocks is seeking a General Manager to lead its Licensed Payments Services division, a newly formed regulated financial services entity focused on stablecoin and crypto-payments infrastructure. This is a high-impact leadership role owning the P&L, product roadmap, and cross-functional execution for a payments platform serving enterprise clients, fintechs, exchanges, and stablecoin issuers.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing go-to-market strategy targeting institutional clients; translating macro payments trends into product, partnership, and commercial strategy; partnering with Product and Engineering to shape the payments roadmap; leading commercial execution and closing strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, and payment processors; and actively supporting sales in closing anchor deals.
You will drive the product roadmap for the licensed payments platform, defining features, integrations, and infrastructure priorities. This includes shaping stablecoin settlement, on/off-ramp, and cross-border payment capabilities that differentiate Fireblocks' offering. You'll translate regulatory requirements (state money transmitter licensing, BSA/AML, FinCEN rules) into product specifications and compliance-by-design architecture.
Regulatory and licensing strategy is critical: you'll help drive the overall licensing strategy, identify new jurisdictions, evaluate emerging regulatory frameworks, serve as a key internal stakeholder on the licensing portfolio, and manage relationships with regulators regarding Payment Services operations and reporting.
Cross-functional leadership is essential—you'll coordinate engineering, compliance, legal, operations, and partnership teams to deliver against the payments roadmap, and partner closely with the Fireblocks Trust Company and other Financial Services Division leads to identify shared infrastructure and cross-sell opportunities.
Required: 10–15 years in payments with deep operational experience at a global payments network, cross-border platform, or licensed money transmission business. Background at a global card network's real-time push payment division, cross-border payment rails, remittance infrastructure provider, or licensed B2B payments fintech. Demonstrated P&L ownership in payments or fintech. Strong understanding of stablecoins and their intersection with traditional payment flows, settlement, and treasury management. Working knowledge of US money transmission licensing, BSA/AML compliance, and state/federal regulatory regimes. Track record of driving product roadmaps in highly regulated environments.
Preferred: Experience in crypto or digital asset payments; familiarity with GENIUS Act and state-by-state MTL landscape; experience launching or scaling payments products from early-stage; comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving regulatory environments.
