Salary: USD 223,000 - 280,000 / annual
Picnic is reinventing the workplace lunch experience by partnering with top local restaurants and batching orders to deliver high-quality meals without fees or tips. As General Manager for the East Region, you will own the full business across nine cities: New York, Boston, Toronto, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
You will operate as a regional owner, responsible for setting go-to-market strategy, building restaurant and corporate account relationships, managing P&L across sales and operations, and leading a team of City Managers, Ops Managers, Growth Leads, and Community Managers. Your mandate is to read competitive dynamics and customer preferences in each city, decide where to invest or exit, and execute a cohesive regional strategy.
Key responsibilities include: developing GTM strategy across nine markets; building and maintaining relationships with C-suite executives and restaurateurs; owning full P&L for sales, operations, and restaurant partnerships; using data to make fast decisions and identify efficiency gains; driving creative marketing to build engagement; and hiring, training, and developing your regional leadership team.
You will work closely with Atoms' central leadership while operating with significant autonomy. The role requires someone who treats a region like their own business, is comfortable building playbooks from scratch, and thrives in ambiguity with minimal guidance. You should be passionate about food, hands-on execution, and building high-performing teams.
The company seeks candidates with 2–5 years at top consulting firms (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), top-tier banks, PE firms, or an MBA from a leading business school, plus 2–3 years of operating or entrepreneurial experience. P&L responsibility, people management experience, and background in food delivery, marketplaces, or B2B are valued. This is a five-days-per-week in-office role based in New York.
