Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation cell therapies to improve outcomes for patients with blood cancer. The company has built a state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Sacramento, CA, designed to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of high-precision cell therapy products.
As General Manager/Site Head for the Commercial Manufacturing facility, you will have overall leadership responsibility for a 200+ employee, 24/7 operation that has undergone significant recent expansion and continues to scale. Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer/EVP Manufacturing, you will serve as the senior site executive accountable for all aspects of the facility's performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operational performance and manufacturing execution across a complex, regulated environment
- People leadership and culture development for a growing team
- Financial performance and budget management
- Quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Long-term strategic growth and capability building
- Working closely with Orca Bio's executive leadership to strengthen the site's operating model
- Driving reliable execution, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement
This is a highly visible strategic leadership role requiring a hands-on operator with a strong sense of urgency who stays close to day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have experience scaling manufacturing operations, managing large teams in regulated industries, and balancing strategic vision with operational excellence. You must be willing to relocate to Sacramento, CA, where you will work full-time on-site. Relocation support will be provided.
