Blank Street is a high-growth food and beverage brand on a mission to become the defining coffee and beverage brand of its generation. As General Manager for the Brooklyn location, you will take full ownership of a single-store unit and drive operational excellence, team development, and business growth.
You will manage and lead a hospitality team, handling all aspects of store operations including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Key responsibilities include maintaining food and beverage quality standards, managing inventory and vendor relationships, overseeing compliance with company policies, and ensuring the store meets operational and product quality audit standards. You'll spend 50-70% of your time working behind the bar, leading by example in customer service and product execution.
Your role extends to financial performance ownership—driving sales growth, increasing average order value, and meeting business targets through creative initiatives. You'll also build meaningful relationships with neighborhood businesses to grow local brand loyalty and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
The position requires 4+ years of experience managing single-store unit operations in high-growth hospitality or consumer brands. You must have strong knowledge of specialty coffee and espresso, experience managing hospitality teams, and familiarity with inventory and supply chain management. Experience in unionized environments is a plus. Full-time availability of 45 hours per week across 5 days, including 2 peak days (typically Friday-Sunday), is required.
Blank Street offers competitive compensation ($67,000–$80,000 annually), 15 days of paid annual leave, three health plan options with full employee-only coverage available, commuter benefits, parental leave, and exclusive perks including free coffee and Blank Street products.
