Salary: USD 80,000 - 100,000 / annual

Sweetgreen is seeking a General Manager (Head Coach) to lead store operations across the New York Metro area (NY, CT, NJ, PA). This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage all aspects of a high-volume fast-casual restaurant, from team development and operational excellence to financial performance and guest experience. Key responsibilities include: **People & Team Leadership**: Build and mentor a diverse team, manage the full employee lifecycle, foster a culture of trust and inclusion, ensure compliance, and develop a strong talent pipeline. **Operations & Food Safety**: Maintain rigorous standards for food safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance. Resolve facility, supply, and quality issues while prioritizing team safety. **Customer Experience**: Deliver clean, hospitable, brand-aligned experiences. Use guest metrics and data-driven insights to continuously improve. **Financial & Business Acumen**: Drive sales and profitability by analyzing reports, managing costs, executing strategic plans, and creating effective labor schedules aligned with business goals. **Systems & Technology**: Operate all POS and operational systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize daily operations for smooth business and guest experiences. You'll be expected to perform hands-on duties across all roles in the career path (Assistant Coach, Shift Leader, Kitchen Lead, Team Member) as needed. **Requirements**: 3+ years in food service with at least 2 years in hands-on management. Proven experience hiring, developing, and motivating teams. Strong financial planning and forecasting skills. Ability to manage and optimize processes in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative leadership style. **Preferred qualifications**: High-volume restaurant experience, familiarity with local/organic/sustainable products, ServSafe Manager certification, tech-savvy with digital tools, data-driven mindset, fast-casual or retail operations background.
