The General Ledger Specialist will join Pebl's Global India Finance Team in a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, reporting to the GL Manager. This position is central to the company's financial operations, supporting corporate accounting and reporting across multiple regions. Key responsibilities include: - Prepare monthly reconciliations for income statement accounts (pass-through, credit card, overhead) - Create journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other accounting adjustments with supporting documentation - Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations and fixed asset workings - Manage intercompany account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across entities - Oversee general ledger coding and journal entry management to support monthly closings - Maintain and update the fixed assets register - Support month-end processes including daily journal entries and bookkeeping tasks - Conduct global bank account reconciliations - Collaborate with internal finance partners and respond to accounting inquiries - Identify and support process improvement initiatives The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) with 2-4 years in a general accounting role. You should be comfortable working across time zones with global teams, proficient in Microsoft Office and NetSuite, and capable of taking ownership of assigned tasks. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple reconciliations simultaneously are essential.
