Pencil is an advertising technology SaaS platform that uses Generative AI to redefine content creation. The company is seeking a GenAI Creative Director to lead creative delivery using the Pencil platform and modern GenAI workflows for enterprise advertising clients.
This role combines creative leadership with system design. You will design and oversee agentic and nodal creative workflows that connect insights, concepts, copy, imagery, and video into scalable systems. Working with Creative Producers, Creative Strategists, and Customer Success teams, you'll translate client marketing challenges into effective GenAI-enabled creative solutions for global brands, particularly in EU and US markets.
Key responsibilities include: designing and implementing custom agents and structured workflows to automate repeatable creative tasks while maintaining quality; leading and mentoring GenAI Designers, Creators, and Art Directors through the full creative process from insight to final assembly; acting as a GenAI and Pencil platform expert in client discussions; collaborating across distributed teams in EU and Asia time zones; supporting internal enablement by sharing workflows and learnings; working with Education, Customer Success, and Sales to help teams adopt GenAI workflows; collaborating with Product and Engineering on feature testing and feedback; and directly intervening in creative execution when needed to meet brand quality standards.
You bring 10+ years of advertising creative development experience, ideally with global enterprise brands. You have a strong background as a Creative Director or Art Director with proven ability to translate strategy into compelling creative work. You have hands-on experience with GenAI tools (Firefly, Imagen, etc.) and agentic/nodal workflows (Weavy, ComfyUI). You understand how to connect insights, data, and audience understanding to creative outputs, have led distributed creative teams across time zones, and are comfortable presenting to clients as a trusted advisor. You're proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and modern creative production tools, with excellent English communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
