Willow Wealth, a leading private markets investment platform, is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its Athens Services Hub. The role reports to the Senior Fund Controller in New York and is responsible for accounting and financial reporting functions across the Willow Wealth Funds portfolio. Key responsibilities include reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages prepared by external fund administrators to ensure accuracy, completeness, and US GAAP compliance across individual offerings. The manager will review and ensure accuracy of audited financial statements, including footnotes and supporting disclosures, across over 100 funds. Additional duties include reviewing operating and debt agreements to verify proper fee and interest recording, drafting fund financial statements with footnote disclosures, and overseeing external fund administrator transaction activity with guidance on proper recording. The role requires performing detailed reviews and reconciliations of management fee calculations, expense allocations, and intercompany transactions. The manager will proactively identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and inefficiencies, driving improvements and implementing scalable solutions. Documentation of key processes, internal controls, and workflows is essential, with implementation of changes aligned to industry best practices. Cross-functional collaboration is critical, building strong relationships across Finance, Operations, Investments, Legal, Compliance, Tax, auditors, and external service providers. The manager will take ownership of assigned deliverables while contributing to broader accounting and operational initiatives, support year-end tax processes including Forms 1099 and K-1 coordination, and respond to investor inquiries with ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed. The ideal candidate has experience in accounting and financial reporting with knowledge of investment company accounting rules and US GAAP standards.
