Firestorm is building expeditionary defense manufacturing and autonomous systems, including modular unmanned aircraft and deployable microfactories (xCell). The company addresses a critical gap: modern defense operators need systems that are affordable, rapidly producible, and sustainably deployable at scale. Crucible is the software platform that orchestrates Firestorm's entire manufacturing network—spanning full-scale factories, edge-deployed xCell microfactories, and forward-deployed production sites. It runs in the cloud, on local factory compute, and in air-gapped classified environments. The platform must operate reliably offline, interface with factory equipment, and maintain functionality when internet connectivity is unavailable. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will own manufacturing software features end-to-end: data models, APIs, React frontends, testing, and production rollout. You'll design production workflows around work orders, routings, BOMs, inventory, material availability, capacity planning, and scheduling. Your responsibilities include: - Building MES/MRP capabilities that model manufacturing state accurately and maintain data integrity as the product scales - Designing relational data models for complex production operations - Creating React interfaces for technicians, planners, supervisors, and engineers working on the factory floor - Partnering directly with manufacturing and supply chain teams to translate operational problems into durable product solutions - Contributing to architecture, code review, testing practices, and engineering standards across the Crucible team You will work at the intersection of software engineering and manufacturing operations, taking problems from the factory floor through design and into production. This is a hands-on role requiring deep collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, product, and software teams. Required: 5+ years shipping full-stack software; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance; strong TypeScript, React, and backend development skills; relational data modeling and SQL expertise; experience building MES, MRP, ERP, supply chain, or manufacturing software; demonstrated ability to translate complex operational workflows into shipped software; strong communication across engineering and operations. Preferred: Direct MES/MRP/APS/ERP/PLM product experience; aerospace, defense, automotive, or medical device manufacturing background; factory floor operator collaboration experience; robotics or industrial automation background.
