NFON is seeking a Frontend Engineer to help shape the future of business telephony. You will develop and enhance NFON's cloud-based phone system, designing and implementing scalable frontend components using TypeScript and Angular to ensure high availability and performance. Your work will directly impact product reliability and efficiency for businesses across Europe.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build features across web applications and backend service components using AI-assisted development workflows
- Use AI tools to generate, refine, and accelerate software development while maintaining high quality standards
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, and improve technical solutions
- Investigate and solve technical challenges using logical reasoning, experimentation, and AI-powered tools
- Write, test, review, and ship production-ready software
- Contribute to improving development workflows and engineering productivity through AI
- Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices
The role offers hybrid flexibility (2 days/week in office at the central Lisbon location on Barata Salgueiro 37) with modern equipment and collaborative team environment. Requirements:
- Strong experience with modern frontend development using TypeScript and Angular, alongside HTML5 and CSS3
- Passion for software architecture, clean code, testing, and engineering best practices
- Experience with state management using NgRx or comparable technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to break down complex challenges and develop pragmatic, high-quality solutions
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar, combined with ability to critically assess AI-generated output
- Collaborative mindset, curiosity, and drive to continuously learn and improve
