Super.com is seeking a Fraud Investigator II to protect the integrity and profitability of its growing financial products portfolio, including Super.com Card, Cash Advance, and KYC-related workflows. This newly created individual contributor role sits within Risk Operations, a centralized function spanning fraud prevention, financial crime, transaction integrity, and dispute management across the company's payment, travel, and emerging product lines.
You will execute operational risk and fraud review workflows across the customer lifecycle—from onboarding and identity verification through account activity, disputes, and loss mitigation. Key responsibilities include performing manual investigations into suspicious behavior, application fraud, account misuse, identity-related risk, negative balance scenarios, and chargeback-related abuse. You'll monitor fraud, KYC, and operational dashboards to identify trends and emerging threats, support the development of operational procedures and playbooks, and identify root causes behind fraud losses or operational failures to recommend improvements.
The role requires partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and external vendors to reduce fraud losses while maintaining an effective balance between risk reduction, customer experience, and business growth. You'll help shape scalable fraud and abuse controls, strengthen operational processes, and contribute to building a secure, seamless financial products platform.
Required qualifications include 2+ years of relevant experience in fraud operations, financial crime investigations, risk and payment fraud operations, KYC, or trust and safety within fintech, ecommerce, payments, or high-risk transactional environments. You need strong working knowledge of fraud prevention concepts, operational risk controls, KYC and identity verification workflows, and case investigation practices. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous, cross-functional environment are essential.
Bonus qualifications include exposure to SQL or BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI), experience with operational risk or fraud prevention tools in fintech/payments, familiarity with card, deposit account, or cash advance products, relevant certifications (CFE, CPFPP), and experience building or documenting operational processes and SOPs.
