CesiumAstro is seeking an FPGA Engineer I to join their hardware development team in Austin. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will contribute to FPGA circuit and system development across all phases of the development lifecycle. You will work on HDL-level FPGA designs that incorporate high-speed serial interfaces, data streams, digital processing cores, multi-clock domain management, and control interfaces. Your responsibilities will include design, verification, testing, and deployment of FPGA systems.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with FPGA design methodologies, HDL (Verilog/VHDL), and verification techniques. Experience with high-speed serial protocols, digital signal processing, or board-level hardware design is desirable. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional startup environment with a focus on aerospace and space technology.
This is a U.S. citizen or eligible work authorization role due to government space technology export regulations (ITAR compliance). The position offers hands-on, interactive work in a collaborative team environment focused on cutting-edge satellite and aerospace hardware.
