Salary: USD 175,000 - 235,000 / annual

Founded by former Duolingo executives and Emmy Award winners, the company has raised $38M from top-tier VCs including Khosla Ventures, Forerunner, DST Global Partners, and Lightspeed. The company is already generating 1–5 million weekly organic views on social media.
In this founding marketing role, you will lead growth strategy and execution across all channels. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Identifying and testing growth opportunities across marketing channels, forming hypotheses, and executing scrappy experiments to find repeatable, scalable growth levers.
- Owning PR and earned media strategy to generate free, scalable attention.
- Developing and executing creator partnership strategies.
- Building and scaling Outsmart's YouTube presence.
- Exploring and executing on new growth opportunities as you discover them.
- Driving DAU (daily active users) as your north star metric.
- Shaping Outsmart's reputation and credibility with students, parents, educators, and institutions.
You'll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, moving comfortably between high-level planning and hands-on implementation. The role requires resourcefulness to build without a playbook and curiosity to learn new disciplines as needed. You'll work with a talented, mission-driven team focused on expanding access and opportunity in higher education.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of marketing experience in consumer technology.
- Proven track record of building and scaling organic or viral growth for fast-growth consumer products.
- Strong instincts for Gen Z audiences.
- Strong analytical mindset; you care about ideas but prioritize measurable impact.
- Ability to move fluidly between strategy and execution while managing ambiguity.
- Intellectual curiosity and drive.
