This is a founding role to lead new ventures and business lines within Brightwheel. You will own the end-to-end development of new products, markets, and customer segments that extend Brightwheel's reach beyond its core platform. Starting from ideation, you will discover customer needs, build initial versions, validate product-market fit, and prove the business model and economics behind each venture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and launching new ventures from concept through scale, working hands-on with AI and modern tools to prototype and learn rapidly
- Conducting customer discovery to uncover unmet needs and building the first version to test with real users
- Validating the business case: customer value, pricing strategy, and unit economics
- Working directly with the CEO and executive team to set vision and drive board-level outcomes
- Recruiting and developing the team as ventures gain traction
You will leverage Brightwheel's existing foundation—tens of thousands of school customers, millions of families, profitable core business, and strong distribution—as the launchpad for new growth.
Ideal candidates bring a track record of building products customers love, experience taking ideas from 0 to 1 (ideally as a founder or early builder), ownership of full business models including pricing and economics, hands-on use of AI and modern tooling, and the communication skills to align executives and boards around a compelling vision. You are a multidisciplinary builder comfortable moving across product, design, engineering, and data. You thrive in ambiguity, make confident decisions without a playbook, and think like an owner of the entire business.
