BackOps is hiring its first in-house GTM recruiter to build out the go-to-market team as the company scales. You'll own full-cycle recruiting across sales, customer success, marketing, and adjacent GTM functions—from sourcing and kickoff through offer close. This is a high-volume, hands-on role for someone who loves the recruiting craft and excels at finding passive candidates rather than relying on inbound alone.
You'll report to the Head of People & Talent and have real autonomy over how you source, sell, and close candidates. You'll partner closely with hiring managers to calibrate hiring bars, run structured interview loops, and represent BackOps authentically to candidates. The role requires managing multiple GTM searches simultaneously while maintaining quality and candidate experience, and tracking your own funnel metrics—time-to-fill, offer-accept rate, source quality.
BackOps builds agentic AI that automates supply chain operations work, rethinking infrastructure from the ground up rather than wrapping AI around legacy tools. The company is ~50 people, headquartered in San Francisco, and backed by Theory Ventures, Gradient, Construct Capital, and 10VC following a Series A.
You should have 4–7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience with meaningful time at early-stage or high-growth startups. You'll need a proven track record hiring high-performing GTM talent, particularly in sales and customer-facing roles. Strong sourcing skills, closing ability, and commercial instincts are essential. You must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco and able to collaborate from the office at least 3 days per week.
