HappyRobot is infrastructure for enterprises to build and orchestrate AI workforces. The company is Y Combinator-backed (S23) and has raised over $150M from a16z, Base10, Prysm Capital, and Eurazeo. The platform enables AI workers to make autonomous decisions, take action, and run operations across enterprise systems.
You will be the first technical hire in Australia and second team member locally, working directly with the Country General Manager to define how HappyRobot operates and scales in the region. This is a founding-team role combining strong technical ability with exceptional communication skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with enterprise customers from onboarding through ongoing optimization, helping them integrate and optimize AI solutions
- Build new features, MVPs, and scalable solutions using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
- Design and implement AI/ML solutions, including LLM prompting, voice tuning, and transcriber optimization
- Manage APIs and integrations with third-party systems for seamless customer functionality
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Continuously iterate and improve AI solutions based on customer feedback
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Help establish the local playbook for customer onboarding, AI worker deployment, and feedback loops into product
The role operates with extreme ownership, craftsmanship, urgency with focus, and first-principles thinking. You'll have autonomy and be encouraged to ship quickly in a fast-paced, builder-oriented environment with no rigid hierarchy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong full-stack experience: React, TypeScript, Node.js
- Hands-on proficiency in Python
- Experience building AI/ML applications, including LLM prompting and tuning
- Ability to manage APIs and integrate with third-party systems
- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
