Bolter is an AI agent platform that enables non-technical users—founders, marketers, ops leads, consultants—to automate their work by describing needs in plain language. The platform creates and runs agents end-to-end, retaining context and generating shareable apps like trackers and dashboards. Currently at validation-sprint stage with a small group of high-impact operators, Bolter is seeking a Founding Customer Success Manager to build the customer success function from the ground up. In this role, you will own the entire customer success lifecycle. You'll conduct 1:1 concierge onboarding sessions with every new batch of operators, ensuring each leaves their first session with a working automation—not just a product tour. You'll work closely with high-impact customers to map their business processes and convert them into reusable blueprints that feed the library for future users. You'll drive retention by ensuring operators maintain live, recurring work in Bolter and own check-ins, reactivation efforts, and team expansion moments. You'll serve as the voice of the customer, synthesizing weekly feedback and presenting insights to the product team to shape the roadmap. You'll also build the foundational customer success infrastructure—onboarding playbooks, health metrics, engagement models—that the function will scale on, then help recruit and train the team to execute them. Success in your first six months means every onboarded batch activates with working automations, a repeatable playbook exists that others can run, the blueprint library contains workflows built with real customers, cohorts retain above internal targets, and product ships features informed by your customer synthesis. You bring 5+ years in customer success, account management, onboarding, consulting, or similar customer-facing roles, ideally at fast-scaling tech startups. You excel at extracting messy business processes from conversations and documenting them as clear steps, exceptions, and sign-offs. You're fluent with AI tools and curious about how agents reshape small-team workflows. You have patience and warmth with non-technical users, explaining concepts without jargon. You have a builder's mentality—you'd rather create playbooks than inherit them—and you're comfortable owning outcomes in ambiguity. Excellent written and spoken English is required; other European languages are a plus.
