Recall.ai is building infrastructure to make conversation data accessible and understandable by AI. The company processes massive volumes of conversation data from enterprise software platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Datadog, etc.) to power AI features that reduce uncreative toil in knowledge work.
You will be the first dedicated post-sales professional at Recall.ai, reporting directly to the VP of Sales. This is a founding role with complete ownership of the customer success motion—no inherited playbook or accounts list.
Key responsibilities:
- Own a portfolio of 10–15 strategic accounts (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Navigate internal stakeholders, unblock engineering teams, and drive them from signed contract through full deployment and expansion.
- Build a 90-day churn early warning system from scratch, owning signals, cadences, and process.
- Identify top account usage patterns and turn them into a replicable playbook for other strategic accounts.
- Drive cross-sell of new features as a natural extension of relationships.
- Partner with Account Executives on account handoffs and build knowledge-transfer processes.
- Identify patterns across accounts and feed insights back into messaging, product, and sales strategy.
The company is early-stage (post-Series B) with significant enterprise traction. You'll have visibility into board decks, investor updates, and fundraising calls. The role is 5 days per week in-office in San Francisco with no remote flexibility.
Requirements:
- 4–7 years in a technical, customer-facing role at a dev-tools or API company (or equivalent).
- Commercial ownership experience: renewal quota, expansion target, or NRR goal responsibility.
- Technical credibility with engineering buyers; ability to discuss APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines without relying on Sales Engineers.
- Proven ability to drive adoption inside complex organizations, bridging the gap between procurement and deployment teams.
- Experience at Seed, Series A, or Series B stage companies.
- Minimum 2+ years tenure at a single company (not a pattern of short stints).
- Comfort with occasional 60-hour work weeks and early-stage startup risk.
