Salient builds AI agents for regulated financial services, automating loan servicing, compliance, collections, and claims processing for banks and specialty lenders. The company is backed by a16z and Y Combinator, has raised $75M in Series A funding, is cash-flow positive with mid-eight-figure ARR, and serves over 20% of the auto lending industry. You'll join the Founder's Office as an execution-focused operator who acts as a force-multiplier to the CEO and leadership team. This is not a coordination role—it's an end-to-end execution role where you diagnose ambiguous, cross-functional problems and drive them to crisp plans, clear owners, and shipped outcomes. Key responsibilities include: owning the CEO's operating cadence (weekly priorities, OKR tracking, meeting hygiene, decision logs); turning leadership conversations into action through memos and decision capture; running special projects across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Sales, and Customer Success; building lightweight systems like dashboards, templates, and playbooks; supporting enterprise deal execution (proposals, SOWs, pricing, redlines); creating customer-ready artifacts and managing high-stakes timelines; helping operationalize compliance workflows and audit documentation; and improving internal throughput through planning rituals and process upgrades. Success in the first 90 days means establishing a reliable founder/leadership operating cadence, accelerating 2–4 cross-functional projects through alignment and execution, freeing leadership from coordination overhead, and delivering cleaner customer launches with fewer surprises. You're a high-agency operator who proactively diagnoses problems and drives solutions end-to-end. You're a structured thinker who writes clearly, makes crisp plans, and turns ambiguity into concrete next steps. You have low ego and high standards, learn quickly in complex regulated domains, handle sensitive information with discretion, and thrive in early-stage intensity with shifting priorities. Preferred background includes 2–6 years in demanding environments (startup ops, consulting, fintech/banking ops, product ops, investment/strategy, or founder-led roles), prior work with enterprise customers and regulated workflows, and strong writing skills. The role requires project management execution, exceptional communication, analytical ability (Excel/Sheets, basic modeling, KPI design), stakeholder management across levels, and operational rigor. The team works approximately 60 hours per week starting at 8:00 AM, with four days in-person collaboration at the San Francisco office. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), and catered lunches.
