Hypercubic is building AI systems that understand, reason about, and rearchitect large-scale legacy applications running on mainframes and COBOL. The company operates at the intersection of program analysis, knowledge extraction, and agentic systems, applied to critical enterprise software.
As Founder's Associate, you will work directly with the CEO as a force multiplier on the company's highest-priority problems. The role is intentionally broad and may span enterprise GTM, recruiting, operations, partnerships, fundraising, compliance, customer success, and strategic initiatives. You will bring structure to ambiguity, operate with minimal direction, and drive important work to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive high-priority projects across GTM, recruiting, operations, and company building
- Move complex enterprise opportunities from initial conversation through pilot and close
- Research new markets, customers, partnerships, conferences, and distribution opportunities
- Build systems and processes that accelerate company operations
- Help recruit exceptional talent and maintain hiring momentum
- Prepare high-stakes customer, partner, investor, and internal materials
- Take ownership of important problems without a natural owner
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks
This is a high-ownership role requiring someone unusually ambitious, resourceful, and fast-moving. The work is intentionally not glamorous—you will handle both strategic initiatives and hard, messy operational work. For exceptional performers, the role can grow toward owning a function or becoming Chief of Staff.
Requirements:
- Extremely high agency: turn ambiguous goals into action, make decisions with incomplete information, drive work forward independently
- Exceptionally reliable: close loops and own work completely
- Fast learner and intellectually curious: synthesize information quickly, move across technical, commercial, and operational domains
- Technically literate: comfortable with software, systems, data, tooling, and AI
- Strong judgment: distinguish mediocre from exceptional work across customer communication, hiring, decks, events, workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communicator: credible with executives, engineers, candidates, customers, partners
- Low ego: prioritize outcomes over task type
- Strong technical foundation and experience in or around software companies (engineering, product, technical operations, consulting, or early-stage startup background preferred)
- Roughly 2–6 years of experience is the sweet spot, but exceptional candidates outside that range encouraged to apply
- Bonus: past founders, early startup employees, or operators who thrived in fast-moving environments
- Must be authorized to work in the US (no H1B sponsorship available)
