Gigaton is building autonomous AI control and optimization systems for the world's heaviest-emitting industries (cement, steel, glass) to cut gigatonnes of carbon emissions. The company combines deep tech with real-world impact, deploying systems that make industrial plants more efficient, stable, and lower-emission in real time. As Founder's Associate, you will report directly to the CEO (Josh) and work on everything required to build the company. This is a high-leverage, malleable role that shifts between tactical execution and strategic work depending on business priorities. You will have significantly more context, responsibility, and impact than people with far more senior titles at larger companies. Typical week activities include: preparing for manufacturer meetings across new industries (chemicals, steel, ammonia) with briefing materials and follow-up; rebuilding customer-facing deliverables like Plant Feasibility Assessments and automating quality control; unblocking legal agreements with international partners; building and maintaining stakeholder account maps for deployed customers; organizing executive roundtables and industry events; supporting CEO visibility (e.g., industry body leadership opportunities); and identifying high-value hiring channels (e.g., podcast sponsorships). Your first responsibility is executing this list with brilliant efficiency and extraordinarily high standards. Then, proactively identify where you can add the most value—some work you'll start without being asked, some you'll automate, and some you'll recommend not doing at all. The role runs at CEO cadence, meaning a more intense schedule. You will sit in critical decision-making rooms: board prep, investor conversations, culture decisions, and industry expansion planning. Qualifications: - Minimum 3+ years in fast-paced environments: startup/scale-up, investment banking, top-tier consulting, private equity, venture capital, or similar - Extreme bias for ownership; you see issues and run at them without waiting to be asked - High comfort with ambiguity; a changing role excites you - Outstanding written and verbal communication; you produce external emails, briefs, blogs, and sales material that require minimal editing - Excitement with latest productivity and AI tools; you use AI to accelerate work and galvanize others - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; you can build financial models, structure market analysis, and write compelling narratives You'll excel if you are: ridiculously hungry with extraordinarily high standards and low ego; dedicated to fighting climate change; experienced in startup/scale-up chaos (founding, early employee, or operator); and have experience in energy-intensive or heavy industry (as operator, consultant, or analyst). You are not expected to check every box.
