Doppel is a Series C AI-native cybersecurity platform protecting enterprises from social engineering threats including phishing, impersonation, and fraud. The company uses agentic AI to monitor billions of digital entities and unify Digital Risk Protection, Human Risk Management, and Email Security into a real-time intelligence graph.
As Forward Deployed Engineering Lead, you'll manage and grow a team of forward deployed engineers while staying hands-on with customers and code. Your team sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, working directly with the world's largest enterprises to deploy Doppel and build critical integrations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and growing the forward deployed engineering team, setting direction and unblocking projects
- Owning the enterprise integration portfolio: SIEM/SOAR connectors (Splunk, Sentinel, Cortex XSOAR), ticketing tools, webhooks, and email ecosystem integrations
- Owning enterprise identity: SSO, SCIM provisioning, IDP sync with Okta, Entra, and HR systems
- Serving as senior technical presence in strategic enterprise deals, scoping integrations pre-sale and de-risking deployments
- Converting one-off customer builds into product capabilities, making each new integration cheaper to build
- Expanding the team's charter into high-leverage problems blending sales, product, and engineering
- Continuously renegotiating team role as new products launch, deciding what to build, hand off, or decline
- Setting standards for documentation, dashboards, and deployment best practices
You'll need 6+ years of software engineering experience building production applications (Python preferred), including 2+ years in forward deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing roles. You should have deep experience with enterprise integrations (OAuth, SAML, SCIM, webhooks, SIEM/SOAR platforms), proven ability to lead engineers while shipping yourself, and a track record of turning bespoke customer work into reusable product. Familiarity with AI application development, LLM APIs, or workflow automation is a strong plus. You're comfortable with ambiguity, work directly with enterprise customers and non-technical stakeholders, and have excellent judgment about ownership and cross-team coordination.
