Nilus is building an agentic AI workforce for corporate treasury and finance operations. The company provides a platform that automates cash reconciliation, liquidity forecasting, and finance operations across Treasury, AR, and AP functions, integrating with multiple banks and ERPs. Nilus is Series A-backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Felicis, Perpetual Growth, and Better Tomorrow Ventures, led by ex-fintech professionals.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will serve as the bridge between customers and the product team. You'll work directly with treasury and finance teams to understand their cash management workflows, then translate those insights into solutions on the Nilus platform and feed learnings back to Product and R&D to shape future development.

- Conduct deep discovery with customers and prospects to map treasury workflows, data sources, and banking setups, designing how Nilus solves their specific problems
- Own solution design for new customers, including scoping integrations, bank connectivity, and configuring forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting
- Design and refine AI agent workflows that customers run on Nilus, converting customer-specific solutions into repeatable product patterns
- Translate customer needs into clear product requirements and collaborate with Product and R&D (Tel Aviv) on prioritization, specifications, and validation
- Run beta and early-access programs for new features, selecting design partners, collecting feedback, and validating solutions before general release
- Support pre-sales with technical depth: solution workshops, technical deep dives, and tailored demos alongside the Sales team
- Partner with Customer Success on rollouts and adoption, identifying expansion opportunities based on customer usage patterns
- Create solution guides, use-case libraries, and enablement content for Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams
- Monitor how treasury teams, TMS platforms, and competitors are evolving, feeding insights into product strategy
Requirements:
- 5+ years in corporate treasury, treasury consulting, or an FDE/product/solutions role at a fintech or TMS company
- Hands-on product experience such as product management, product operations, or solutions work closely tied to a product roadmap
- Strong grasp of cash management workflows, banking data structures (BAI2, MT940, APIs), and reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with SaaS-based treasury management (TMS) or cash management platforms
- Proven customer-facing experience with finance and treasury leaders, from analysts to CFOs
- Comfortable with APIs, data mapping, and system integrations (design and scoping, not coding)
- Ability to write clear product requirements and prioritize messy customer input
- Hands-on interest in AI agents and their application to finance workflows
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments
- NYC-based or able to work US hours
