Harmattan AI is a next-generation defense prime building autonomous and scalable defense systems. The company recently closed a $200M Series B at a $1.4B valuation and is expanding teams to deliver mission-critical systems to allied forces. In this role, you will own the complete Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and security cooperation pipeline end-to-end. You will source partner-nation opportunities, work them through the U.S. government system, and close deals yourself. Live cases are waiting—this is not a function to build from scratch. Key Responsibilities: - Own the US FMS and security cooperation pipeline against a number; source, qualify, advance, and close partner-nation opportunities - Move partners from stated interest to funded action: formal requirement, Letter of Request, Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) - Choose the right pathway for each case (FMS, DCS, BPC, or FMF) and build the funding and approval strategy - Map and work decision-makers in your field - Drive releasability, exportability, and licensing to resolution with internal legal, engineering, and program teams - Get Harmattan onboarded as an approved supplier in target nations and unblock stalled cases by identifying real constraints You will lead legal, engineering, program, and government stakeholders to close without direct authority over them. The role requires travel as cases demand and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where rigor, ownership, and execution are core. Requirements: - Strong academic record, ideally in a technical or business field (Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration) - Proven track record of personally sourcing and closing international defense business—deals you owned with outcomes you can articulate - Real FMS and security cooperation experience: case and LOA development, funding authorities, pathway selection, ITAR and export control fluency, foreign supplier onboarding, embassy-level engagement - Demonstrated capacity to handle large-scale, complex projects with innovative solutions - Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of leading diverse stakeholders from junior members to senior executives - Adaptability and willingness to travel; thrives under pressure with a "no-task-is-too-small" mentality - 100% commitment to Harmattan AI's mission and ambitious growth plans
