Loyverse (part of Teya Group) is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the financial control function for their E-POS platform serving 3+ million SMB merchants globally. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen.
You will own the month-end close process, financial reporting, and core finance operations. Key responsibilities include leading balance sheet reconciliations, Accounts Payable/Receivable oversight, revenue and operating expense analysis, and strengthening the control environment. You'll manage a small finance team based in Cyprus while supporting Loyverse's international expansion across multiple markets and legal entities.
A critical part of the role involves acting as the finance owner for SAP, ensuring processes, controls, and reporting structures support the business. You'll partner cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams to implement new entities, processes, and reporting requirements. The role also includes identifying automation opportunities, driving process improvements, and producing insightful financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
You'll lead and develop the Cyprus-based financial control team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking to build scalable finance infrastructure at a high-growth, international fintech/payments company.
Required: qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), strong experience in financial control or finance operations at international businesses, proven month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation ownership, AP/AR and accounting controls expertise, analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration experience, SAP or comparable ERP system knowledge, and demonstrated team leadership. Advantageous: fintech/payments/technology background, international expansion experience, and finance transformation/automation expertise.
