As Financial Controller, you will own the financial backbone of a rapidly scaling company, reporting to the VP of Finance. You'll run core accounting operations end-to-end while shaping forecasts, board reporting, and financial systems that guide growth. The role emphasizes capital efficiency and leveraging AI tools to automate finance operations.
Key responsibilities include: managing month-end and year-end close with accurate, timely financial statements; overseeing day-to-day accounting (revenue recognition, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations); leading a small finance team of 1–2 direct reports; managing annual audits and compliance; building budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models; preparing board and investor reporting with SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, burn multiple); designing scalable financial systems and controls; and partnering with department leaders on spend management and unit economics.
Required qualifications: CPA designation; 5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience with 3+ years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role; proven bias toward automation and process improvement; experience at high-growth SaaS or startup with fluency in SaaS revenue recognition and metrics; hands-on FP&A experience in budgeting, forecasting, and board-level reporting; track record of building or upgrading financial systems and controls; detail-oriented and deadline-driven with comfort in startup ambiguity. Nice-to-have: Big 4 or audit background; multi-entity or cross-border operations experience.
