As a Financial Analyst in FP&A, you will partner with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to drive strategic planning, reporting, and analysis that informs critical business decisions. This role offers high visibility across the organization, including regular engagement with senior leadership and the parent organization in Japan.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct financial tracking, process validation, and documentation for technology development capitalization (Tech Capex), monitoring capitalizable metrics and analyzing downstream impacts on operating expenses
- Serve as the primary internal contact for detailed financial reporting sheets, operational performance metrics, and ad-hoc analysis inquiries from Japan Headquarters
- Build and maintain financial models, projections, and forecasts supporting strategic decision-making
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial analysis, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Support month-end close process, including reconciliations and review of financial results
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Marketing to provide financial guidance and identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and margin improvement
- Analyze key business drivers and translate them into actionable insights for leadership
- Maintain accurate, organized financial records and contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes
- Design and lead internal compliance protocols, financial control frameworks, and audit readiness activities to maintain alignment with public company governance guidelines
- Conduct ad-hoc research and special projects as needed
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field; 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or similar analytical role; strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, complex formulas, and pivot tables; strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail; clear communication skills to translate financial concepts for non-financial audiences; high organizational skills and comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
