This Financial Accountant role is an opportunity to build the finance function from first principles rather than maintain legacy systems. You will work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and the broader Financial Accounting team to design processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure for a business deploying capital at global scale.
Key responsibilities include: supporting monthly financial close cycles; preparing accruals, prepayments, payroll, capex, revenue, and FX entries; reconciling balance sheet accounts (cash, AR, AP, fixed assets, payables/receivables, equity); managing transactional processing with proper approvals and audit trails; supporting internal and external financial reporting; building and documenting financial controls and accounting policies; tracking capital spend and maintaining fixed asset registers; preparing U.S. GAAP and IFRS external financial statements; supporting external audits; implementing and optimizing ERP/accounting systems; and assisting with tax compliance and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
You will have direct exposure to senior leadership, operate in a fast-paced, capital-intensive environment with low bureaucracy, and own meaningful pieces of the finance infrastructure. The role emphasizes building scalable processes across multiple jurisdictions rather than routine transaction processing.
Required qualifications: CPA or equivalent; audit background; 2–5 years of post-qualification experience; strong technical accounting knowledge including U.S. GAAP (IFRS exposure a plus); month-end close and financial reporting experience; high attention to detail; analytical skills; ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments; strong Excel skills; ERP experience a plus. Nice-to-have: infrastructure, energy, or data center experience; multi-entity international accounting exposure; startup/scale-up background.
