SmithRx is a venture-backed healthtech company disrupting the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sector with a next-generation drug acquisition platform. The company has onboarded hundreds of thousands of members since 2016 and is rapidly scaling.
You will join the Finance team as a Finance Operations Analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting. This is an operational ownership role focused on day-to-day accounting functions and core financial workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and filing indirect tax returns accurately and on schedule
- Coordinating with the company's filing agent on multi-state compliance and registration filings
- Managing the member reimbursement process, including check processing, month-end reconciliations, and escheatment compliance
- Clearing daily cash transactions and performing comprehensive month-end cash account reconciliations
- Managing the corporate credit card program, including expense coding, booking, and monthly reconciliations
You bring a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 1–3 years of hands-on corporate or operational accounting experience. You have solid knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger operations, and demonstrated proficiency with cash reconciliations, expense processing, and multi-state compliance. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently while managing competing priorities and monthly deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You are proficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and can quickly learn modern accounting systems like Sage Intacct. Strong communication and collaboration skills across internal teams and external vendors are essential.
