As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting that ensures accurate accounting information for financial statements. You will participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including delivery of information to fiscal auditors, internal audit processes, and other company requirements. You are expected to propose new processes that improve existing practices and strengthen internal controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve bank reconciliation processes
- Support preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for Colombia and Mexico operations
- Investigate and develop strategies to resolve accounting issues arising from company operations
- Propose continuous improvement strategies for departmental processes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information
- Stay current on regulatory and accounting changes applicable to the company in both Colombia and Mexico
Required qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting and financial areas, preferably as an accounting analyst
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with accounting software
- Strong knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and data analysis skills
