As Finance Manager (Financial Control), you will report to the Group Financial Controller and oversee local accounting and tax operations, initially focused on the Mexico entity. This is a hands-on role combining operational finance leadership with strategic process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the monthly accounting close process and bookkeeping in collaboration with the Shared Service Centre
- Overseeing month-on-month general ledger movements and account reconciliations
- Partnering with the global Tax team on VAT and corporate income tax filings
- Managing local audits and tax compliance
- Supporting the launch of new branches and expansion initiatives
- Managing relationships with accounting vendors and service providers
- Serving as the primary point of contact for finance-related matters across the local entity
- Leading automation and process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Implementing controls and best practices to strengthen financial reporting quality
You will need 5+ years of experience in a related finance role (4+ if you hold an accounting qualification). Ideal candidates have backgrounds as external auditors with financial services experience, or as financial controllers/accountants in large organizations. Deep knowledge of Mexican direct and indirect tax regulations is essential, along with solid IFRS application skills and fluent English.
Nice-to-have qualifications include an accounting designation (CPA, CA, etc.), Big 4 audit or financial services experience, entity management experience, SQL proficiency for analysis and reporting, and NetSuite familiarity.
