You will serve as the Finance lead for the Mexico legal entity, overseeing all accounting operations, local financial reporting, financial analysis, and internal controls. This role is critical to a fast-paced, multinational technology organization, partnering closely with regional Finance leadership, local Commercial teams, Human Resources, and external accounting firms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the monthly close process under US GAAP, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance
- Own balance sheet, intercompany, and account reconciliations with strong financial controls
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, executive summaries, and budget-to-actual variance analyses for senior Finance management
- Manage relationships with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors for statutory reporting and regulatory filings
- Serve as the Mexico process owner for internal controls, aligned with the company's global control framework
- Lead Finance participation in ERP transformation initiatives, optimizing NetSuite and enhancing financial systems
- Partner with Treasury on accounts payable, cash forecasting, collections, and working capital management
- Coordinate with the Miami/LATAM accounting team on regional accounts receivable and payable activities
- Lead client communications on agency rebate reconciliations and finance-related inquiries
- Manage and develop a team of three finance professionals, establishing priorities, coaching, and promoting accountability
- Champion adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve reporting, controls, and decision-making
- Drive continuous process improvement through standardization and implementation of finance best practices
You will bring 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in Mexico, including month-end close ownership, corporate reporting, financial analysis, internal controls, and audit coordination. You have direct people management experience and have worked within multinational organizations reporting under US GAAP. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA (Contador Público Certificado) or equivalent is preferred. NetSuite ERP and FloQast experience are highly valued. You have strong understanding of Mexican accounting principles and the full financial close process.
