As Finance Manager, you will build and scale the Finance function during a critical growth phase. This is a broad, high-ownership role spanning FP&A, business partnering, accounting, finance operations, and finance engineering. You'll own financial processes from budgeting and forecasting to management reporting and preparatory accounting, working cross-functionally to turn financial data into actionable business decisions.
Key responsibilities include: supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with clear insights into performance and risks; driving financial reporting and analysis through models, dashboards, and decision-support tools; owning operational finance processes including preparatory accounting, invoice/expense workflows, reconciliations, and month-end close; building and improving the Finance tech stack by connecting systems, automating processes, and leveraging AI tools (Spendesk, ERP/accounting systems, BI tools); and supporting international expansion by working with external accounting partners across multiple jurisdictions and GAAPs.
You bring 4–7 years of hands-on Finance, FP&A, Controlling, or Accounting experience with solid accounting knowledge and practical bookkeeping. You have strong analytical and commercial thinking, a systems mindset for process improvement, and hands-on AI and automation capabilities—not just as productivity tools, but to redesign workflows and build scalable solutions. You're comfortable with modern finance systems and tools (ERP, Spendesk, BI/reporting, workflow automation). You operate with high ownership, a builder mentality, and can navigate ambiguity independently. Fluent in English and conversational in German required.
The role offers a fast-growing startup environment with real impact, stock options, 30 vacation days plus birthday off, Germany Transport Ticket, Urban Sports Club, company off-sites, learning platforms (Blinkist, Audible), free language courses, flexible working hours, and a hybrid setup based in Berlin.
