Webull is a leading digital brokerage platform offering low-fee trading, advanced analytical tools, and robust market data to empower individual investors. We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our Finance organization and oversee all accounting functions for our U.S. Broker Dealer and affiliated subsidiaries.
In this highly visible role, you will have direct ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple entities. Key responsibilities include:
• Manage all aspects of the monthly closing process, including daily review and approval of journal entries in Oracle (our ERP system), bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable functions, and month-end adjustments
• Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet, P&L, Member's Equity, and Cash Flow statements
• Conduct variance analysis and identify reasons behind material changes
• Develop and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance closing efficiency
• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and internal financial reports
• Develop, train, and manage accounting staff, fostering professional growth and building an effective team structure
• Research and analyze new and existing accounting pronouncements to assess impact on regulatory and GAAP reporting requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements specific to broker-dealer operations
You will work closely with senior leadership and external auditors, ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP and all regulatory reporting requirements. This role requires broker-dealer accounting expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to building a high-performing finance team.
