Northwood Space is a modern space infrastructure company building a global network of phased array ground stations to enable real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions in national security, global connectivity, and disaster response. The company designs, builds, and rapidly deploys scalable systems with a vertically integrated approach. You will own the economics of Northwood's global ground network as a Finance & Business Operations Analyst. This is a cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of finance, engineering, supply chain, and operations. Key responsibilities include: - Develop and maintain the company operating model that ties revenue and cost together, guiding decisions on pricing, network design, and deployment strategy. - Analyze key financial metrics including revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, and capital expenditures, providing strategic recommendations to leadership. - Partner with business development on pricing strategy, deal economics, and revenue/cash impact modeling for new commercial opportunities. - Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to identify cost drivers and lead cost-reduction initiatives across hardware and infrastructure. - Evaluate design and sourcing tradeoffs, translating them into clear cost implications for engineering decision-making. You will need a bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, economics, or a related technical field, plus 4+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or business operations roles. Strong analytical skills in Microsoft Office and financial modeling are essential, along with the ability to operate in ambiguous environments and drive decisions with incomplete data. Preferred experience includes hardware, manufacturing, or supply chain environments; headcount and operating expense planning in technical organizations; ability to read and interpret financial statements; and strong communication skills in translating cost insights into clear actions for technical and leadership teams. Note: Due to U.S. Government space technology export regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
