Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 / annual

David is a consumer food brand building high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly products, starting with protein bars. Led by Peter Rahal (Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR), the company is at a pivotal growth stage and aims to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond. As a Finance Associate, you will own forecasting, go-to-market strategy, budgeting, and pricing—developing demand models, shaping key financial assumptions, and determining optimal price and product architecture. You'll translate point-of-sale and shopper insights into actionable recommendations that guide trade spend, retail strategy, and resource allocation to prioritize high-ROI opportunities and maintain strong unit economics across channels. Key responsibilities include: - Build and maintain retailer-level and product-level demand models, collaborating with Retail and Marketing teams to determine appropriate assumptions for consolidated forecasts - Support P&L budgeting and re-forecasting by translating demand forecasts into detailed profitability analysis by retailer, product, and SKU - Determine optimal pricing across channels, retailers, products, and pack sizes by analyzing competitive context, retailer expectations, consumer value, and margin implications - Evaluate trade spend architecture and promotional performance across channels, assessing efficiency, lift, and incrementality versus cannibalization to guide high-return retail and marketing investments - Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Retail, and Marketing teams to analyze data and surface business opportunities You'll need 2–4+ years in investment banking, strategic finance, corporate finance, or FP&A, with expert-level Excel and financial modeling skills. CPG and inventory-based business experience is a plus. You should excel at translating complex datasets into actionable insights, communicate clearly, and demonstrate strong business judgment and cross-team collaboration. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, detail-oriented, humble, self-aware, and genuinely excited about building an early-stage CPG company with a mission-driven product.
