Salary: GBP 45,500 - 57,500 / annual

Monzo is seeking a Finance Analyst to support its subsidiary entities in accurately forecasting, reporting, and controlling operating expenses while managing strategic business projects. This role combines financial planning with project-based work, offering exposure to forecasting, reporting, governance, process improvement, and stakeholder management across Finance and the wider business. Key responsibilities include producing monthly forecasts and variance analysis for subsidiary entities; owning the administration and coordination of intercompany charging processes to ensure accurate, timely transactions; preparing financial reporting for strategic projects with budget monitoring and risk identification; supporting month-end activities through journals, reconciliations, and reporting schedules; investigating financial variances and explaining commercial drivers; gathering forecast inputs from stakeholders and resolving data quality issues; maintaining financial models, templates, and process documentation; supporting investment business cases with financial analysis; identifying automation opportunities for manual finance processes; and contributing to finance transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify meaningful insights. You should have excellent attention to detail, confidence working with large datasets, strong organizational and planning skills, and clear written and verbal communication abilities. A collaborative approach, curiosity, continuous improvement mindset, and personal accountability are essential. Experience with automation and technology, plus the ability to identify manual processes and partner on scalable solutions, is highly valued. You'll work closely with Finance Business Partners, Financial Control, Group FP&A, and business stakeholders to provide high-quality financial information supporting decision-making.
