10x Genomics is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Singapore to join the Instrument Services team. You will take ownership of assigned service cases, delivering high-quality resolution and providing timely onsite support to address repair issues at customer sites across Singapore, Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, and India. You'll perform assembly, disassembly, and repair work on analytical laboratory instruments to the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) level, including electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical repairs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex instrument issues, pre-staging equipment for sales inventory, supporting software updates and calibrations, and conducting preventive maintenance. You will manage personal parts inventory and test equipment, ensuring proper calibration certificates are current. Additionally, you'll contribute to the Service Knowledge Base, provide field-based training to other engineers, and recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong independent judgment, excellent customer communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while traveling up to 80% within the Asia Pacific region. You'll be the sole 10x Genomics engineer in the territory, reporting to the Manager of Instrument Services (APAC). Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or equivalent, multi-year experience servicing analytical laboratory instruments, demonstrated ability to work independently, and excellent time management skills. Preferred experience includes proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with microfluidic and optical systems, and Linux knowledge.
