Salary: USD 84,922 - 116,622 / annual
Clear Labs is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Level I or II) to support both in-house and field-installed robotic systems used in genomic diagnostics. The role combines preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and customer support across the West Coast region, with up to 50% travel monthly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on robotic systems at Clear Labs headquarters and customer sites
- Communicate professionally with customers to build confidence in Clear Labs' capabilities and technical expertise
- Maintain detailed service records and site visit documentation
- Provide feedback to internal teams on failure points and system reliability improvements
- Support special projects to enhance system performance and customer success
- Collaborate with the Client Care team to maximize equipment uptime
- Assist with logistics to ensure timely product shipment and optimal inventory levels
- Present a professional image to customers, clients, and vendors
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (strongly preferred)
- Hands-on field service experience in biotech, life sciences, or robotics
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics, electromechanical systems, robotics, liquid handlers, computers, and networking
- Experience servicing Hamilton liquid handlers (strongly preferred); Hamilton certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs infrequently
- Current US work authorization (no sponsorship available)
