Salary: USD 90,000 - 95,000 / annual

Zipline is the world's largest autonomous drone delivery service, operating on four continents and completing millions of deliveries of blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products. The company has flown over 140 million commercial autonomous miles and is redefining logistics and healthcare access globally. You will lead daily operations across 3–5 Drone Charging Sites in the greater Houston area, managing site teams and ensuring aircraft readiness for delivery operations. This is a hands-on management role requiring regular travel between sites and direct involvement in field operations. Key responsibilities include: - Lead and develop Fulfillment Operations Coordinators, Fulfillment Operators, and site support teams across multiple locations - Build and manage staffing schedules reflecting operating hours, forecasted demand, and operational needs - Manage labor plans and budgets across assigned sites - Set and enforce clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, and customer experience through coaching and audits - Maintain site readiness including charging equipment, supplies, inventory, and general conditions - Track performance metrics such as fulfillment speed, site uptime, quality, and customer experience - Use operational data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities - Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen efficiency, reliability, and safety - Conduct site visits, audits, and coaching sessions to maintain consistent operating standards - Support new site launches and procedure rollouts - Build strong working relationships with internal partners (Flight Operations, Customer Operations, Maintenance) and external stakeholders - Develop team members and build a leadership pipeline - Provide timely updates on site performance, staffing needs, operational risks, and improvement opportunities Success means sites are consistently staffed and ready, teams follow safety procedures and operating standards, equipment is available when needed, operational issues are identified and resolved quickly, performance targets are met or exceeded, and teams are engaged and continuously improving. Requirements: - At least 3 years of experience in operations, warehouse logistics, fulfillment, retail management, field operations, or related field - At least 1 year of experience supervising teams, multiple locations, or operational workstreams - Experience managing schedules, labor plans, budgets, and performance expectations - Strong coaching, communication, and team leadership skills - Ability to use data and operational measures to make decisions and improve performance - Ability to work independently in the field and travel between sites - Comfort working in fast-changing environments and adjusting priorities as needed - Hands-on leadership style with willingness to support physical operations when needed - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation) - Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - Ability to complete background check, drug test, and E-Verify employment eligibility verification
