Anduril Industries is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead the deployment and sustainment of large-scale, fixed-site counter-UAS (counter-unmanned aerial systems) capability for critical military installations and infrastructure. This role sits within the Air Defense team, which develops networked sensors and effectors that enable rapid detection, tracking, identification, and defeat of UAS threats.
You will own end-to-end execution of persistent, multi-sensor, multi-effector deployments across expansive site footprints, ensuring systems deliver mission-critical capability when customers need it most. You will orchestrate large-scale installations by leading cross-functional teams spanning hardware supply, logistics, engineering, and more. Your responsibilities include site survey, RF and power planning, sensor and effector siting, coverage modeling, installation, integration, testing, training, and long-term sustainment.
A core part of your role is building and owning standardized playbooks, SOPs, and installation templates that make fixed-site deployments repeatable at scale. You will codify procedures into lightweight, disciplined processes that any deployment team can execute consistently, treating each deployment as an opportunity to refine methodology and capture lessons learned.
You will serve as Anduril's primary interface to on-site security teams, facility management, and installation stakeholders, integrating counter-UAS capability into existing physical security and force-protection postures. You will build trust with customers, industry partners, users, and Anduril teammates through effective communication, positive attitude, and follow-through. You will develop deep knowledge of customer mission requirements—including threat nature, airspace and regulatory challenges, resource constraints, rules of engagement—and become a subject matter expert capable of communicating requirements to engineers.
You will also develop thorough understanding of Anduril's Family of Systems, becoming an opinionated power user who can forecast how capability will perform against a broad range of threat profiles, environmental conditions, and mission constraints.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced degree or 4–6+ years experience in a technical field, preferably in defense, national security, or aerospace
- Highly organized creative problem-solver with proven project management skills
- Experience planning and executing large-scale, fixed-site installations or infrastructure deployments, ideally involving integrated sensors, effectors, power, and networking
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain deployment playbooks, SOPs, and installation documentation that drive repeatable execution at scale
- Experience coordinating with site security, physical security, or force-protection organizations and integrating capabilities into existing security posture
- Experienced in creation and upkeep of documentation for new or developing processes
- Proven experience leading tech-enabled teams of peers while building culture of influence through relationships
- Deep interest in national security issues and defense technologies, with commitment to lifelong learning
- Experience translating technical concepts into operational requirements and performance specifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Eligible to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
PREFERRED:
- Experience with networking, cUAS, and/or air and missile defense
