Via Transportation is transforming urban mobility through technology-enabled transit services. As Field Operations Manager, you'll lead daily on-site operations for Via's Transit-as-a-Service platform in Seattle, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders.
You'll own real-time operational decision-making across fleet management, driver supply, compliance, and service quality. This includes managing driver relationships—building trust, addressing concerns, and ensuring they have the support to deliver excellent service. You'll be the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via's central teams, translating community feedback and rider insights into tangible service improvements.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing service performance issues using data and technology, implementing efficiency solutions, and proactively solving problems in the field. You'll spot patterns in feedback, collaborate with internal teams on improvements, and handle unexpected operational challenges with quick decision-making.
You bring operational experience from people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented backgrounds. You're relationship-oriented, earning trust through clear communication and follow-through. You're hands-on and proactive, preferring to learn the service firsthand and solve problems where they happen. You balance tactical problem-solving with strategic thinking about long-term mitigation. You're mission-driven by expanding transportation access and improving how communities move.
This is a fully in-person role requiring 4–5 days per week onsite in Seattle. You must be based in the Seattle area.
