As Field Operations Lead for Sweden, you will oversee the planning and execution of complex exploration field programs across 1–3 concurrent projects annually. You'll manage drilling campaigns, electromagnetic surveys, and reconnaissance programs while maintaining accountability for project timelines, budgets, and safety.
Key responsibilities include: leading comprehensive project planning with integrated teams and contractors; developing detailed risk assessments tailored to Swedish winter conditions; managing contractor selection, bid evaluation, and contract administration; executing end-to-end field operations from mobilization through site remediation; tracking production rates and spend forecasts; maintaining daily oversight of KoBold personnel and contractors; ensuring full compliance with Swedish mining and environmental legislation (Mining Act 621/2011, Environmental Protection Act) and EU regulations; and representing KoBold with local stakeholders including communities, landowners, and municipal authorities.
You will report to the Field Operations Director for North America & Europe and collaborate closely with Project Geologists, Data Scientists, and Senior Project Planners. The role requires strong leadership during challenging field conditions, creative problem-solving to optimize operations, and a commitment to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process refinement.
