Protege is building a platform to solve AI's biggest unmet need: secure, efficient access to high-quality training data. The company is backed by world-class investors and already powers partnerships with leading AI teams. This is a generational opportunity in a fast-moving, high-trust environment.
As Field Marketing Manager, you will own the end-to-end execution of Protege-led and co-sponsored events across the East Coast and Europe. You'll manage all logistics—from venue selection and vendor coordination (catering, AV, photography, floral) to on-the-ground hosting and real-time problem-solving. You'll work closely with the commercial and DataLab research teams to design events that drive clear outcomes: pipeline generation, account expansion, and new partnership targets.
Key responsibilities include: executing events on tight, fluid deadlines; sourcing and managing third-party event staff; owning internal team planning and travel logistics; connecting events to measurable commercial results; creating social media content to promote and document activations; and testing new event formats with the Field Marketing Lead and broader marketing team. You'll also contribute to large-scale flagship events and conferences.
You'll travel 2–3 times per month with regular presence in New York City and London. Success means moving from onboarding and shadowing (Days 0–30) to owning city-level event execution independently (Days 31–60) to supporting flagship 2027 events (Days 61–90).
You bring a track record of owning B2B conferences, corporate dinners, and activations from logistics to wrap-up. You connect events to commercial outcomes, not just execute assigned tasks. You have the hospitality instincts of a seasoned host, the detail orientation of a project manager, and the scrappiness to solve last-minute disasters on tight budgets. You're a generalist marketer comfortable writing LinkedIn posts, updating one-pagers, or jumping into campaigns. You thrive in startup environments, building systems from scratch and adapting quickly as priorities evolve. Ambiguity energizes you; you own outcomes and hone your craft.
