Anysphere, maker of Cursor (an AI-native code editor), is hiring a Field Engineer to serve as the technical face of the company with prospective and strategic enterprise customers in South Korea.
You will partner with Account Executives and internal teams (Sales, Product, Engineering) to lead technical discovery, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements. Your core responsibilities include:
- Leading technical discovery sessions, demos, and POC engagements alongside Account Executives
- Building trusted relationships with engineering leaders, architects, and developers as a technical advisor
- Translating customer requirements into solution designs and guiding best practices for rollout, prompt strategy, and context configuration
- Developing and delivering technical presentations, whiteboard sessions, and hands-on workshops tailored to customer needs
- Acting as the customer's technical advocate internally, influencing roadmap priorities and escalating feedback to Product and Engineering teams
- Collaborating with post-sales teams to ensure smooth handoff and successful customer onboarding
- Maintaining deep knowledge of Cursor's capabilities and competitive positioning
- Supporting strategic account planning and driving expansion opportunities through technical validation
The role combines customer-facing sales engineering with hands-on technical depth. You'll need strong communication skills and executive presence—equally comfortable coding alongside developers or presenting to CTOs. You should have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, modern engineering org structures, and developer productivity challenges. While you don't need to be a full-time engineer, you must be fluent in technical workflows, AI tooling, and debugging complex environments. Customer obsession and the ability to translate technical details into business impact are essential.
