Salary: USD 60,000 - 80,000 / annual
Flock Safety is scaling nationwide deployments of Drone as a First Responder (DFR) solutions for public safety. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining the physical infrastructure that powers aerial operations across the country.
You will execute on-site installations, routine maintenance, and field support for specialized drone docks, hardware, and supporting infrastructure. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive physical site assessments to verify electrical power availability, structural mounting locations, network connectivity, and site access constraints. You'll diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and local network connectivity issues encountered during field deployments, and complete detailed installation documentation, service records, site photographs, and technical field logs for operations teams.
You'll partner directly with public safety customers and internal deployment teams to guide site readiness and ensure safe, compliant installations. This is a hands-on role requiring travel up to 100% across the country. You will work outdoors, on rooftops, and at elevated heights using ladders and lifts while moving heavy equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
Required qualifications include technical experience in field service environments such as low-voltage installations, telecommunications, surveillance technology, or physical infrastructure deployment. You need hands-on proficiency with basic networking, electrical systems, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting across MacOS, Windows, or Android environments. You must be capable of working outdoors in variable weather conditions, navigating elevated heights, and safely lifting or transporting equipment. A valid driver's license and acceptable identification for air travel are required, along with the ability to manage nationwide travel logistics independently.
An FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is required, or you must be willing to obtain certification within 45 days of hire. An associate or bachelor's degree, or experience in customer-facing technical support in public safety environments, is preferred.
