Pogo is seeking an Experiential Events Manager to own conferences, dinners, and in-person events as core growth channels. You will manage a high volume of events year-round, handling end-to-end logistics including venue selection, vendor management, travel coordination, materials, staffing, and post-event follow-up. Key responsibilities include building relationships with event organizers and partners, evaluating ROI for every event to determine which are worth repeating, and designing creative activations that make Pogo stand out to their niche audience of insights and research leaders.
You'll bring great taste to Pogo's in-person presence—from event displays and dinner menus to swag and experiential activations. You'll travel up to 2x monthly to ensure high-priority events run smoothly, partner with sales and marketing teams to drive event conversion, and run guerrilla marketing experiments to cut through at key events.
The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of experience in conference servicing, field marketing, experiential programs, or events at a tech company or creative agency. You have strong operations and project management skills, can juggle hundreds of moving parts across multiple simultaneous events, and build relationships easily—especially with event hosts to unlock premium slots and partnerships. You have great creative instinct and taste; you care how things look and feel and can invent activations, not just execute them. You evaluate spend honestly and can make tough calls to cut underperforming events. You operate autonomously, don't need direction on which conferences to pursue, and actively use AI tools in your workflows.
This is an in-the-trenches role with real ownership over Pogo's GTM strategy. You'll have direct visibility into event-to-pipeline conversion and help define the playbook early as one of the first marketing team members. The role is operationally intense—you own every detail end-to-end, from vendor issues to last-minute logistics. Pogo moves quickly with minimal structure and values autonomy and speed. Expect more than 9-to-5 hours at this stage, though the company offers unlimited PTO with a minimum 20-day vacation policy and flexible scheduling.
