Moody's is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Fund Finance franchise across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa). This is a senior people-leadership role reporting to the Global Head of Fund Finance, combining strategic oversight, team management, and credit expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Fund Finance research and outreach strategy for EMEA, enhancing publications and market voice
- Represent the franchise internally and externally, articulating Moody's perspectives on fund finance trends and credit risk
- Serve as subject-matter expert on fund finance themes (rated feeders, insurance capital, NAV lending, GP-level financing)
- Build and maintain relationships with fund sponsors, investors, intermediaries, media, and regulatory bodies (ESMA, FCA, regional authorities)
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of Fund Finance analytical professionals across EMEA with accountability for hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development
- Chair rating committees, ensuring analytical rigor and adherence to Moody's methodologies
- Drive digital and AI-enabled transformation, process standardization, and automation initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards
- Collaborate across regional Fund Finance teams, rating groups, and related franchises (notably Private Credit) to drive coordination and consistency
Required Qualifications:
- Senior market participant with exceptionally strong credit skills
- Broad credit experience (typically 12–15 years), including exposure to fund finance, private credit, or related structures
- Deep expertise in fund finance, credit analysis, and risk assessment
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing, geographically dispersed teams
- Confident stakeholder engagement with issuers, investors, sponsors, intermediaries, and regulators
- Recognized thought leader with exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Experience driving change, digital transformation, and process innovation
- Strategic thinker who translates strategy into execution while balancing analytical priorities with customer needs
