Moody's is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Fund Finance franchise across the Americas. This is a senior people-leadership role reporting to the Global Head of Fund Finance, combining strategic oversight, team management, and credit expertise.
Key responsibilities include executing the Fund Finance research and outreach strategy for the U.S., representing the franchise internally and externally on fund finance trends and credit risk, and serving as a subject-matter expert on complex structures (rated feeders, NAV lending, GP-level financing). You will build and maintain relationships with fund sponsors, investors, intermediaries, media, and regulatory bodies including the SEC, while collaborating across regional Fund Finance teams and related franchises like Private Credit.
You will lead, develop, and manage a team of Fund Finance analytical professionals, with full accountability for hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development. Responsibilities include chairing rating committees to ensure analytical rigor, fostering a high-performance inclusive culture, and driving digital and AI-enabled transformation initiatives to improve analytical quality and efficiency. You must ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards of integrity and governance.
The ideal candidate brings 12–15 years of broad credit experience, including exposure to fund finance, private credit, or related structured/leveraged finance markets. You should demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking, deep credit and analytical expertise, confident stakeholder engagement skills, natural leadership presence with a track record of developing high-performing teams, recognized thought leadership with strong communication and presentation abilities, and experience driving change and digital transformation. This role combines credit expertise, executive leadership, and strategic delivery in a rapidly growing part of the financial ecosystem.
